Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about the ISS On-Demand courses? See our FAQ Below.

Can I receive credit for a single session?

No, CEUs are awarded for completion of a full bundle of content only.

Can I view a bundle's sessions in any order?

Yes, you can view the modules in any order, as long as all modules are completed.

What is covered in a bundle's post-test?

Each bundle contains a post-test is composed of multiple-choice questions randomly pulled from content in all presentations, ensuring that you understand material from the entire bundle. A grade of 75% or higher is required to pass. You can take the post-test up to 3 times.

I attended the ISS live in April, 2023, and I already saw one of these sessions. Do I have to view it again?

Please use the recorded presentation to review the content as necessary. Once you are confident that you know the material, you can move on. Remember, the post-test includes content from all presentations.

Please note that at the end of the course, you will receive a completion certificate listing sessions from the entire bundle, including the course(s) you attended live at ISS 2023. You are not permitted to claim CEUs for the same content twice (E.g., you can not claim two hours for attending a one-hour course live, then viewing it again on-demand).

In these cases, your ISS bundle certificate is still valid. But, it is your responsibility to recalculate the value of your certificate by subtracting the value of redundant content.

Why does the length of each presentation vary?

Many of the live presentations include question and answer ("Q&A") or discussions. Since this content does not always align with a session's written learning objectives, it does not qualify as continuing education credit, so it is not included in the recordings.

The value of each bundle is calculated by summing the total creditable content, in minutes, of all its combined sessions.

Where are the course handouts for a session?

Some, but not all, presentations have handouts, such as PowerPoint slides or other supplemental materials. When handouts are included, you will find a link to download them under the presentation recording.

Who can I contact with questions?

Please direct questions not addressed above to rst_ce@pitt.edu. Thank you!
